& shoes.The store was in the Blethen Block.In 1865 it was called
Francis Corson & Co.
In 1867 Ithmar B Merrill came in to the firm & called Corson,
Merrill & Co.
In 1870 Andrew H Knight became a partner. In1872 it was owned
by Andrew H Knight & Dr Gilman B Clough & Co.He was mustered
in 30 Sept 1862 and discharged from Company C A 27.
Francis married Ruth Burleigh Bean, daughter of Henry W Bean and Eliza Kelly, on 31 Jul 1851 in Dexter, Maine. (Ruth Burleigh Bean was born on 25 May 1831 in Sandwich, New Hampshire and died in Dec 1905 in Auburn, Maine.)
